writing a book

I have been thru so much in my life and crohn's has brought me many challanges. My story is so long and I never get to tell the entire version of it, so I decided that I am going to write a book. Hopefully noone will think I'm crazy for doing this. But the way I see it, even if I touch the life of one person with crohn's, then it's well worth writing. I was up all night thinking of everything I wanted to say, so now I'm going to type away on the computer and hope something great comes of it. Wish me luck!

Hey Amanda! I am also a mom with 2 great kids I know that I have used this forum...and to some extent my blog to let do this. I wish you the greatest success with your book! If your ever stuck, there are tons of people here who would have lots of great ideas.

While I don't advocation breaking rules, November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). A worldwide challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November.

Yeah, it's supposed to be fiction and not started before the first of November, but screw it!

The reason I brought it up - no I don't work for them or get anything for mentioning it (though I have finished the past 8 years!) - is because of the great writing camaraderie. I have met a lot of wonderful people and some of my closest friends by getting together with other writers during November.

I know I have a book about Crohn's in me as well, but I haven't been able to muster the intestinal fortitude (pun intended) to actually do it. I will get there, but will push anyone else who's ready for the challenge to do so.

It's going to be a challange but I'm definetly up for it. It's going to take some time and I'm sure I'll change it 1,000x's before I'm done. lol
