I've been on Aza for a week now with no side effect on 50mg. This morning my wee was bright yellow! A very pretty side effect perhaps!

Yeh i geet this every so often ever since ive been on aza. Doesnt seem to be due to dehydration either (and its a much bright yellow). Ive heard others having it and dont think its anything to be worried about, but yeh its quite pretty (well in terms of wee lol)

Yup- dehydration will add to that...so drink lots and lots of water!!!...gotta love that flourescent color....

I drink lots of water already. I had been expecting headaches and nausea - not had any of that at all. I am very happy to settle for neon pee :)

Been on it since July last year, and hadn't noticed this particular effect til quite recently. It's a regular occurence now. Glow in the dark toilet bowl.

I had the neon yellow wee from the first day of taking, this was more apparent when I was taking 175mg all at once in the morning. Now I split 100mg in the morning and 75mg in the evening to stave off the nausea I was experiencing, and the neon is less now :( lol

I've been concerned about this one for a while, as it is listed as one of the "talk to your doctor immediately" symptoms.

I've been on azathioprine for about 5 years now and my pee looks like that every time I take the medicine. I've always worried this is a sign that the meds are really stressful on my kidneys or maybe liver, but my docs have never seemed too concerned by it...

But it seems like it's fairly common and no one else here is too concerned by it so I guess it's ok?

I've recently started Imuran and noticed this side effect as well. I have a med lab background and usually bright yellow pee is a sign of your body releasing B vitamins. B vitamins are water soluble so maybe Imuran affects B vitamin metabolism maybe. Do most people on Imuran have to get B12 shots?

Yeah, I too get radioactive pee when on Imuran, my doc suggested plenty of fluids and make sure to get plenty of electrolytes which works for me as I love lucozade!
