Hi everyone,

I'm a Systemic Lupus suffer but recently not solong ago I had the worst stomach pain, nausea etc to the point I now have chronic stomach pain and further testing may need to be performed as the Gastroscopy was clear.

Anywho, since almost a week ago I had so much pain in my belly.I couldn't move and had to curl up from the pain.I was very constipated(I deal with that a lot)And then the diarrhea started which is also a common thing for me to have in episodes.

I went to the ER and they admitted me, they performed a CT scan, blood, stool sample, urine, echography.

The blood showed high CRP and sed rates which they did say is common with my Lupus already of course but my inflammation rated had always been ok despite me being in a constant Lupus flare. So I was a bit concerned if it really is the case and it could not be something that is developing such as Crohn.

Well, the CT showed enlarged colons but the echo seemed ok.Stool sample and so on was clear for everything.

One of the Gastro's said if it continues (the horibble pain/cramping in general) further testing may be needed as a colonoscopy.

I just wonder now as I have had so many issues with my bowels lately also that goes in episodes.(And my stomach!)

If this is really just a case of Enterocolitis as it said on the file, being an inflammation of the big and thin colon.

It hurts to eat, constipated a lot, now a bit of yellow colouration and the pain has not stopped but is of course not as acute as on the day when it started.

I just worry as my digestive system has caused me a lot of issues for some time, that it can be again another Auto-immune situation.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I think it is worth pursuing having a colonoscopy done, this way a better examination of the bowel can be done and biopsies can be taken to check for an IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease). In the meantime perhaps try to follow a low res diet that is low in fat and fibre as this may help a little with the tum, have a look at our diet and sups forum for some ideas/info on this: http://www.crohnsforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=17.

I hope you can get an answer to this soon, pls keep us updated on how you get on.

Welcome to the forum, I'm glad you found your way here :) I pray you don't have IBD, lupus is certainly enough to deal with :(

You mentioned "yellow coloring". What's yellow? Your stool? Skin? Eyes?

I think the doctors are so far on the right track and that if your problems persist, a colonoscopy is warranted.

I wish you well.
