Who was your first love?

Mine was in high school, Dave. Funny how my current love's name is Dave too...weird coincidence...

I had a lot of girls that I really liked, but my very first, butterflies in the stomach, make my knees weak, was my wife, Janis. I still get that feeling with her after 32 yrs. No one else had ever made me feel that way.

My first love was in high school and weird enough, years later although we weren't dating anymore, we were still close friends. He ended up marrying my best girlfriend and having a daughter. We're all very close now.

Hmmm my first love

she needed some tlc as she was pretty run down an neglected
but after a few months of work she was ready to head out into the big world again

that was 15yrs ago
and still when I get the chance I take her cruising on a nice sunny day
other than that she sits nice n safe in me shed

- hope ya didn't think I was talkin bout a chick lol

My first love turned out to be a jerk. But, my husband was his best friend so had I not been with him I would have never met my husband.

What kind of motor vehicle are we talking about?

My 1st love was in high school. I was 14, she was 17. We were together for about a year, and I learned A LOT, let me tell you...

HAHAHA nice.

Mine was freshman year in college..then he joined the navy and didn't come back until last month! I thought it was going to be like a fairy tale after all this time and different relationships ending up together, but somewhere in the last 8 years he turned into a jerk :/ go figure!!

That's easy

he joined the navy

never met a navy, air or soldier what ever they wanna call em selves that isn't a jerk
I just call en wankers
as does everyone else I know
the problem is the training they revieve makes them believe they are better than everyone else and superior
little do they know they r jus over rated wall fodder

It's also very possible that while you matured, he didn't. Spending 8 years in close quarters with nothing but other 20-something males probably isn't the best way to develop into a well rounded adult, sad to say.

Hey Rob,

Just as well I know we are better then everyone else or I would take offence at your comment :)

What are you saying DAVE???? lol Trying to take my poll off in another direction?

Don't wish to offend lulu but from everyone I've met in an army etc whative written is tru

and I've met way to many

it's the attitude etc drummed into them from the wanker governments etc
they go in as good people and get bent/manipulated into tossers as this is what they are after, no use having someone timid in an army is there I guess

as for better than the rest of us I beg to differ, as I'm yet to see any hard proof

sorry nyx for goin off topic I'll leave it at that

Believe me Rob, I know quite a few wankers too, their not known as AJ's for nothing hahahaha

We are not all your typical young male grunt with too much money and not enough sense though. Some of us are nice or is that just me :)

Back on topic.......first real love was with a guy more than twice my age. Just as well I'm young cos if I was say 40 then that would be scary lol

Oh and we didnt break up due to the age but I can see that might have been an issue later on if we had stuck together

I was 17, he was 18. I'd liked him since I was about 15. We lived together for a couple of years & we're still good friends now (I'm 35 & he's 36).

My first I was about 14, all he wanted to do was kiss me and french neck... told him to stop and he wouldnt so I bit his tongue... I taught him

My first love was Keith, we were both 16 and we dated for a year, and I last saw him about 15 years ago in a nightclub, and he looked gorgeous, I often think about him. sigh

Ahhh, high school, I was 15 he was 18... together for 2 years, I broke it off after I graduated as I planned to go to university and he was still flipping burgers... I think about him sometimes and hope he's happy. :)

A guy I met at work when I was 17. We were together for 2 years until I met someone else. He's the only ex I pretty much have no respect for now lol. He emigrated to Australia though, so it's ok haha.

We met in college and were in the same voice studio (both music majors). I was a freshman he was a junior. I thought he was this great Christian guy and he turned out to be a phony that liked to put up a good front at church. We dated for a year and a half and broke up the last day of my sophomore year, 2 days before a vacation we were supposed to go on together. He ended up taking a girl I suspected had a thing for him while we were together. She was also in our voice studio. They ended up getting married a year later. Still hard to let go completely of the resentment for him never apologizing to and lying about her.

SO TRUE. It's a shame they look so good in uniform. Very tricky. Although men look good in suits too...

Oh yeah...men in suits...sigh

lol Stephanie Andrasniac. I probably spelled that wrong but I met her in Grade five and she gave me my first kiss. If I can still remember that some 30+ years later it must have been true love :lol2:

lets see mine was in high school, freshman. She was this little fire cracker, so pretty, caring, loving - OK, who the hell am I kidding it lasted like a week, but BACK then I thought it was LOVE. My real 1st love was when I was a senior, she was nice and supported me through my surgeries, then left me for a co-workers, LOL. I hooked them up, I just wanted her to be happy (and also make someone else suffer, like I have been - LMPO). Took a while but Married to a great women, who is also my best friend.

We met in high school, both 16, went out for two years. A month before exams he dumped me as he could not have a girlfriend and be a serious mountain climber. It was me or the mountains and the mountains won.

my first 'boyfriend' was a rosy cheeked, podgy kid who used to hold my hand at every opportunity... i kinda got sick of it at my 5th birthday party and told him to go away as his breath smelled. uh - i must have been a lovely child!

but seriously - it's taken me a long long time to know what true deep love is - and on that level i have to say that my wonderful fiance now is my first, and will always be the one and only i have ever felt this way about.

I have never been in love. Ive dated alot and been with alot of girls but never really loved any of them. I feel it will come during my serch and that girl will stay

I was 12, she was 11. It was online, we didn't love each other then. We talked for 6 years, we live at the otherside of the country. We met for the first time after 6 years of talking online, we grew up together 'online' so to speak, so it was weird when we first met. Things developed, and I'm 19, she's 18 and we're in love and we're living together at her place and I have been since september 09, and we've been together for a year and 6 months (last saturday). It was quite difficult as it was a long distance relationship for a long time which meant a lot of travelling, but now it's ok

 That is so sweet-what a cool story!

Mine was junior high... my first ever kiss... we'd sit in class and hold hands and write little love notes to each other in our books....

about 9 years fater he dumped me, I saw him on the news fighting for gay rights. I was working in the Legion Club Room at the time... I was shocked.... one of my parent's friends' walked in while my mouth was hanging open...so i had to tell him the story....

He looked at me and said "Well i guess you were just too much woman for him...."

I am still not sure that was a compliment
...

wow, thats pretty cool. Where'd you meet online? Was it like a dating place or just a random thing?

Mine was when I was fifteen, he was fourteen, nearly fifteen. We were in band together and we just seemed to click. It only lasted a month and a half, but we've known each other five years now and he's one of my closest friends and a big supporter of me through my disease. He's the one person that's never left my side. We actually had lunch last Friday and we were thinking about doing something on Sunday too if he has time. He's getting ready to go out of town for a bit. But yeah. I've dated around and so far no one has really compared to him. If I could find another like him, I'd be set. There isn't one bad thing I could say about him.
