    Any Gamers?

MARIOKART. I also loved some of the older Final Fantasys... Pokemon are addictive. And since it's on DS, you can take them with you to the loo. :)

    Intimacy issues

Aaah, I just created a new post on this topic! Should have looked around more before writing, I guess. I'm in the same boat. I feel like a monster. I miss my old life so much. Really hoping we all get better soon. -Em

    Normal sex life?

Hi guys. I'm newly diagnosed. It's been a complicated few weeks, to say the least - wound up contracting c diff when I was in the hospital for the CD, and now have hemorrhoids from using the bathroom so much. Needless to say, I've been really, really sick. I hope this isn't too personal, but...

    New...Seeking diagnosis

Hey rxgirl, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I'm new to all of it myself (and also 33), so I unfortunately don't have much advice. Just wanted to say that I'm glad you're here - the people here have been a tremendous help to me (I've had a lot of questions!). Just know that you're not...

How do you know when you need to go to the hospital?

Just got home from the hospital. IV fluids and electrolytes and potassium and such go a really long way. Still have a long road ahead, but at least feeling a bit stronger. Thank you guys again for your advice and support. :)

How do you know when you need to go to the hospital?

Thank you so much for your replies. I really, really appreciate it. I talked to my GI - she's on call at the hospital tomorrow, and wants me to go in first thing in the morning. I hope that you all are doing ok. Thank you so much for all of the support.

How do you know when you need to go to the hospital?

Hey guys. So, I was diagnosed CD a month ago. My GI started me on lialda and a hydrocortisone enema. I started to do a bit better for a week or so, but then took a huge turn for the worse. I haven't eaten anything but white rice in 5 weeks. I was feeling really run-down and just plain...

    Recently diagnosed, feeling like hell

Thanks Terriernut. :) I've always had issues with D & constipation, but was too embarrassed to tell anyone about it. I just assumed I had a weak stomach and that I could deal with it. Last month, I woke up in the middle of the night in terrible pain, after several days of feeling really...

    Recently diagnosed, feeling like hell

Thank you all so much for your replies and suggestions. I've been drinking an awful lot of gatorade... my doc actually told me to do that, because I've been so dehydrated, but maybe that's been a problem. I just broke down and emailed her about all this, asking if she has suggestions for what...

    Recently diagnosed, feeling like hell

Hi guys. I was diagnosed CD about a month ago. Since then, I've been taking Lialda, and just finished up a two-week course of a hydrocortisone enema (gross and embarrassing, I know, but most of my issues are in my large intestine). Overall, I've been feeling better - at least I'm not getting...

    New to the Forum

Hey Jen, I hope you're doing ok. Coincidentally, I'm going through the exact same thing - bleeding/pain, followed by colonoscopy, and the biopsy results indicated ischemic colitis. I'm 33. My doctor still thinks it's Crohn's, though, because of all the ulceration, my history, etc. Let me...

    3:30 a.m. rant

So. Last week, after quite an interesting week involving a lot of unprecedented hemorrhaging, I had a colonoscopy and my (new) GI told me I have Crohn's. I've had stomach issues for years, but always just assumed it was IBS and tried my best to ignore it/OD on immodium. Today, I went back to...

    Lutera and Crohn's meds

I'm currently on Lutera. I was just diagnosed CD last week (after a REALLY interesting week...) and the GI said I need to get off of it at the end of this cycle. :c

    New to all this

Hi Maree, I unfortunately don't have an answer to your question. I just wanted to write and say I'm glad you got through today and that you're ok. :)

    New to all this

Hi Maree, I just had my 1st colonoscopy on Friday. The prep was easily the most hideous thing I've ever had to do, but the colonoscopy itself was nothing. I'm generally a big wimp and was expecting the worst, but the doc and nurses were very kind and the conscious sedation worked wonders - I...

    Just diagnosed

Thank you all so much for the replies and support. Rebecca - yeah, my doc gave me "belladonna alkaloid" to help with muscle spasms (which I'm having a lot of). Is this unusual? Adam - yeah, overwhelming is an understatement. I'm glad you have a cool boss... I seem to have one as well. TG. :)

    Just diagnosed

Hey. So, I was just diagnosed with Crohn's this week. Was really sick Wednesday night, which isn't that unusual for me, but then I realized I was hemorrhaging, which had never happened before. It was really scary. I was in and out of the ER for the rest of the week, had a colonoscopy on...
