I have UC and use Rowasa. It's a retention enema, but not steroids. It is for inflammation. There are pills for inflammation too with the same ingredients as the enema.

I have the undigested food when I'm flaring. I think it's because everything goes through so fast, it doesn't get a chance to be broken down and digested properly. When I am not flaring, I don't ever have undigested food.

Welcome. I use Healthy Trinity by Natren (probiotics). They have to be kept refrigerated and are expensive, but seem to help with diarrhea. I use Rowasa, which has the same ingredients as Asacol, and it does constipate me.
