    Fish

I like Basa, which is a Vietnamese catfish. I buy it frozen. It's a nice, mild tasting white fish. This recipe is awesome. Basa Fillets in Tomatillo Sauce 1 1/2 cups long grain white rice 2 1/2 cups water 3 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules 1 pound fresh tomatillos, husks removed 3...

    Lactose intolerance

Blue Diamond makes Almond Breeze. I've see it in chain supermarkets as well as health food stores. It's not bad actually, a tad sweetish for my tastes.

    New member!

Salazopyrin is similar to 5-ASA drugs. I experienced hair loss on Asacol. Then again, I'm at an age where gravity causes hair loss, LOL. Oh, and happy to have you on board. Sorry about the Crohn's thing. I do really well on Entocort, BTW.

    Surgery on duodenum

Hi Brad -- sorry I came late to this thread. Do let us know how surgery went. I had a very small section of duodenum removed twenty years ago (same operation I had a much bigger section of illeum removed). I'd have to ask my GI to look over my records to find out which specific part of the...

    Sushi anyone?

I'm kind of "meh" on Sushi anyways. It's not that I dislike it, it's just that I don't go out of my way for it. The seaweed stuff can cause issues for me, but then a lot of other foods do too.

    1st Annual World IBD Day

I decorate an IV stand and sing carols and exchange tubes of Calmoseptine. Also, don't forget June 13th is Burrill Crohn's birthday!

    Cost of Entocort Ec

There are some reputable online Canadian pharmacies, although I've never had to use one obviously. Sincerest wishes with your advocacy group. I wish I knew how to help.

    Cost of Entocort Ec

Have you tried purchasing generic Budesonide online? It's substantially cheaper.

    Cost of Entocort Ec

Terribly saddened to hear of your plight. My Entocort is covered 100 percent. I was not even aware of its cost. Entocort works really well for me. No one should have to suffer without it.

    Going in for surgery

I had a nasogastric tube as well. That was awful. I was in the hospital two weeks, if I recall. Out a week, then back in for another 5 days to deal with an abscess. You have my sympathies. It's quite the ordeal. Better days will be around the corner. Hang tight!

Aspirin use linked to onset of Crohn's

http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/187549.php Yeah yeah I know, another study. It's already well known to be a gut irritant. Sounds like they're saying now is that Aspirin usage leads to the development of Crohn's. I took Aspirin but later switched to Ibuprofen pre-diagnosis.
