Ok...Had my first "real" flare over the weekend. Admited to the hospital Sunday morning and was discharged on last night. I am still in PAIN. Hospital set up was great. Someone delivered all of my new prescriptions already filled before I was discharged. I only had to call into the pharmacy to provide a form of payment.

New meds:
Pliva 375mg tid
Percocet 325 prn
Zofran 4mg prn
Levaquin 500mg qd
Prednisone 10 taper

Any suggestions on pain relief in addition to Percocet?

Hospital admissions stink but it is the place to be for major flares. What did they do for you, IV? Meds?

Some people try antispasmotics some work some dont. You did get treated well.

IV steroid, levaquin, flagyl, zofran and 2mg dilauded. Oral pain med not as good as IV but ol well. Happy to be home. Nurses were excellent. I guess it helped a little to find out that I am also a nurse(not working right now). I am transferring to the GI practice that treatment me during my admission.

You had all that and you are still in pain? You must be pretty badly flaring. Dilauded...that stuff is wicked. Wasnt my choice of pain reliever. I hope you feel better soon. When do you see your Gi next?

I have an appointment tomorrow with PCP to get a referral for the new GI doc, have the dreaded HMO insurance. I have to call the GI office on Monday for an appt they were closed today and tomorrow for training.
