I have a couple of questions if you all don't mind. :)

First, I really feel like I'm lacking in vitamins, and was wondering if I can get some vitamin reccomendations? I was on 50,000 units of Vitamin D, but I just finished my last dose.I got some blood work that said I was a little bit deficient on Calcium, which I don't get because I thought those 2 worked together?

Also, I was wondering is anyone on pain medication for part of their treatment?Right now I am currently on a pain patch (Fentanyl) and oxycodone, and it helps a lot.

Thanks in advance!
xoxo

How much calcium are you taking and are you on prednisone?

Pred strips calcium from the body. Calcium needs vitamin D, but vitamin doesn't need calcium. So even if your D intake is high, it won't do anything to help the calcium if you aren't getting enough calcium.
As a rule in North America we are lacking in D, but 50,000 seems really high. The standard dose is only 1,000IU. The highest I've heard anyone take is 10,000IU.

I'm not on prednisone.I have another colonoskipy scheduled next week to see if I'm in a flare, and to make sure the doctor doesn't give me prednisone if I don't really need it.

I think I have a bottle of calcium tablets here that say 600 mg + Vitamin D.
I know I'm on a very high dose of D, but I must have been severely low.I can't begin to explain how much better I felt, pain wise after the first dose! All the achiness in my body completely disappeared.Wish I would have been tested much sooner, so I didn't have to suffer so long.

Thank you for your response. :)
