Its been a while since I posted here and so part of me wanted to reconnect with everyone and to apologise also for not being around. I also thought an update was necessary and because I feel really good I thought I'd put it in the success area. I have just finished first year at Uni with flying colours and Crohns didn't get a look in all year really. Knowing that I had this forum to turn to and also the support I had from the Disability support at Uni meant that my stress levels were much lessened to the stress of my course the year before meaning that Crohns could kind of be put aside. I keep taking the medication but I am so happy that I really am in remission. Ok it may flair up some time but a year without Crohns worries really is a successful year and for anyone going to college I highly recommend signing up for the disability support. They were a huge help to me. Wishing everyone here a successful relief from Crohns. :thumleft:

Thanks everyone. This time last year I was dreading the future and whilst I realise there may well be tough times its nice to know that we can all get a break from it. Hope you are all well and thanks for the support

Congratulations on a good year. Sounds like you have done an excellent job of finding the support you need and it is paying off. Hooray for you.

It's still good really thanks, although I am now a little tired and ready for a Xmas break in 2 weeks. I wonder how all of you are keeping and hoping that there are many more successes out there big or small. I had my yearly check up the other week so all good. I do feel i need things to slow down now but I just take each day as it comes. That is all we can do. Hope you are all well.

Glad you are still feeling mostly well :) With regards to the tiredness do you ever get your vitamin levels tested or is this feeling the norm for this time of year for you?

I too am finally doing really well with a settled tum and a little one on the way.

Thats so awesome to hear your success!! Are you just tired from school? I hope you continue on your path in remission! What are you taking to maintain the disease? Out of curiosity what are you going to school for?

Thanks. I am mostly tired from uni as we dont get a mid term break (although start a little later) but I am aware that tiredness and stress are quite a factor to my illness and so am trying to be careful. I only have one week to go but 2 assignments to get done for thurs so feeling the pressure. Also I have a rotten cold for the last 3 weeks which I am pretty sure wont get better til I rest but had to go to bed for a while today as so wrecked which meant putting more school work aside. Anyway, I am only taking pentasa so extremely lucky at the mo but I do take vitamin B complex for the times I am particularly tired so on them at the mo. I did ask the doctor last year to test my Vitamin B as my mum has to have Vit B injections but apparently i was fine although at the time i was way beyond tired. Might ask him to check next time I go for my prescription though so thanks for mentioning it
So thrilled about your little one on the way angrybird, you must be thrilled. I remember the doctor telling me that if i was planning to have children to try my best to wait til I was well in order for a good pregnancy. Sounds like you are doing just that and I wish you the very best with it. Keep us informed :congratualtions:

Thanks :) It did take a few years to get to this stage but thankfully the little piglet seems to be help with keeping the tum settled.
