aarrgghh....!!!!!!!!! (vehicle issues)

gotta vent somewhere......had wiring fixed on my truck (damned MICE!).....a couple weeks ago.....still an issue somewhere since the battery dies if hte truck sits for more than a couple of days (new battery!).....

NOW - I just went downstairs to move my truck to a different parking spot because I have to carry some things out to it - and the instrument cluster is DEAD!.....no tachometer, gas, speedometer etc....everything is DEAD.....yet, all the fuses are good (tested them).....

when the heck am I going to get a break with this thing?!?!?.....hubby is out of town until tomorrow, so if the truck doesn't start tomorrow morning, no work for me!.........I do have a mechanic willing to take a look for me tomorrow while I am at work - just need to get here.......

I'm almost wishing the danged thing would catch fire and burn up.....I just need to get all my stuff out of it first!

poor you. It reminds me of my motorbike. Speedo was the 1st to go on it so I learnt how fast I was going by what gear I was in and looking at the rev counter.. until the rev counter broke then I worked it out on the pitch of my engine.

Going around a right hand bend would also kill my lights (scary in winter) but managed to fix it with some house wiring lol.

Hope you manage to get to work

Hmmm...sounds like the alternator has died, or wiring from the alternator to battery is broken. Classic sign is battery losing charge quickly. Do you have call-out service?
good luck.

I was also going to say the alternator or wiring to the alternator. I had this problem in my car. I replaced the battery and the alternator and still had this problem so it turned out the wiring from the battery to the alt. Was fried and causing the problem
