Hi Everyone. I was diagnosed with Undefined colitis almost 2 years ago. The biopsies didn't reveal between Crohn's or UC. I have been on Lialda 4 pills a day ever since. Back in July I got pnuemonia and forgot to thake my Lialda for a few days and thought...hmmm...whatever I had must be better so I just won't take this med anymore....BIG MISTAKE!!!! About a week later I went into a big flare and even after 40 mg. of prednisone I cannot come out of it. The doctor tried to wean me off of 40 and onto 30 of prednisone and it just went right back the same and anyway I am having a EGD and Flex-sig. scope done on Turesday. I am so scared they are going to find something so bad wrong with me! SO I am going to ask some questions and would apprecialte any comments! 
I have some blood...but mine is more like stringing throughout muscous in my poop...mu poop looks like ...well, pretty much like brownish mucous coming out. Sometimes my whole meds come out...pills not even disolved. When I eat peaches they are not disolved... Blood might be there 1 day but not the next but the mucous is always there. Sometimes the poo comes out(brown) but them it is like yellow bile that comes out too...and I have thrown up bile 2 times and got really naucous a few others. There is lots of pushing...with nothing but like a teaspoon coming out...waves when I go...think I am done only to just have to sit back down! Ughhh...I hate being so graphic...but I figure you all deal with this too so I am just trying to get some answers. My stomach cramps as soon as something enters my mouth and I swallow..even drinks and when I eat...ughhh...run to the bathroom! When I first started the flare before I got on the prednisone..it hurt sooo bad to go to the bathroom...felt like a hot knife stabbing and only a little spoonful of D coming out! But that isn't as bad now. I lost 12 lbs in 3 days because I didn't want to eat so I wouldn't have to go to the bathroom!
SO, does this sound like a "regular flare up"? Is this the norm during a flare? I have never had a flare up and this is awful! I just hope it is nothing like cancer! Thanks for reading and I really would appreciate any advice or comments! Thanks again
