Hi there, I hope Im not going to be a pain by asking for some advice.
I last posted over a year ago when I was having bad trouble with my stomach eg feeling sick daily, lost loads of weight, felt tired all the time, had upto 8 bowel movements a day.
I had a colonoscopy and all that was there was some inflammation of the termimal ilieum. I was told that everything was fine and was discharged.
I changed my diet about a year ago cutting out gluten and dairy. Noticed a big improvement. However I still get bouts of lots of bowel movements that are not formed. I also still feel sick every so often.
Well about four months ago I noticed that to the left of my belly button it was tender to touch. Saw a GP who said it was probably a strain.
Every doctor Ive seen has said I have IBS.
Well at the weekend I felt very ill, feeling very sick, going to the toilet loads etc.
I also noticed that this whole week either side of my belly button and beneath it is very tender to touch.
I have just seen a gp who examined my stomach and everytime she pressed it hurt. She told me as I had a colonoscopy a year ago everything should be fine and that its likely to be IBS.
Recently Ive just been so tired, I bruise easily, Im craving bland foods like bread/crisps, have gone off the normal fruit/veg I eat.
My mum is quite worried because she suffered with Crohns disease for many years when I was a kid.
Sometimes my stomach is so distended I look pregnant, I exercise often and am generally quite fit. However my weight is still going up and my clothes are no longer fitting. Ive always assumed you lose weight with Crohns. Well the only place I have weight is in my lower stomach. My work trousers are getting tighter and tighter, with the button digging in when I sit down. Im a healthy weight for my height and build (am not overweight).
I just dont know what to do, I feel so worn out, sometimes I feel in a daze and a bit lightheaded. I also get sore joints. My wrist has been hurting for weeks now, when I get up from sitting down (at work I sit down for a few hours) my knees hurt as they do when I run.
I just get annoyed when I feel its always put down to IBS, would you get tender stomach that really hurts when touched with IBS.
My blood tests always come back normal. I just feel there is no point going to the doctors, because they blame everything on stress. My personal trainer said I should see a doctor about the sore wrists knees. But I never feel believed and it gets to me.
Sorry if Ive been a pain.
