Before I even suspected I had Crohn's, I applied for a new job at the same company I curently work for. My job now is 2nd shift and it's been hard not seeing my husband and kids except when they get ready for the day.
I didn't get the job at first but was told that I was a close second and to keep applying. I was disappointed but also glad because the late hours gave me more free time for my doctor appointments. And I knew I would eventually get earlier hours.
Well, I got my diagnosis and meds on a Monday. Tuesday I was told the person they hired backed out and I was offered the job! It is 10-6. Most of my bathroom problems happen around 8am (the painful ones anyway). That gives me time to poo, doctor if I need to go and I still get home before bedtime. Sounds perfect!
Here's the problem. Training is 7am - 3pm. How the poo part of my Crohn's has been working is that I won't go for several days to a week. Then I get a firm poo that is like a plug. Once the plug is out my stomach cramps like crazy and I'm on the toilet until I'm empty.
I've been on the meds almost 2 weeks. Prednisone and Apriso. I know it takes time to get better, but the training starts April 7th. I haven't pooped since Tuesday.
Does anyone have any ideas to help me go bathroom so I can make it through training? I tried eating stuff I know I shouldn't and that hasn't helped. Is Mirilax ok?
