Am I having a flare?

Brief facts - diagnosed 16 years ago. Been in remission for many years and discharged from consultant. On no medication. Never had any blood, diarrhoea or mucus.

So to now. Pain in lower right quadrant for the past week going right through to back which isn't relieved with a BM. Feeling exhausted and just generally unwell. BM's more frequent but not diarrhoea. Joints painful (particularly fingers, hands, wrists and elbows). I also have IBS and fibromyalgia so it could be from either of those also. Sick of going to the doctor about other things to be told that it's IBS or fibromyalgia just because that's easy!

Does this sound like a possible flare? It's been so long since I've had one that I don't know if I'm just over dramatizing things by thinking that this could be Crohn's related!

It sounds like it could be. I found that my flare symptoms have changed over the years. I would say go see your doctor and rest. I was also in remission for years and unmedicated then it hit with a vengeance and has been a constant presence ever since. I am sorry you are not feeling well and hopefully it something that will pass quickly for you.

It definitely sounds like something is going on. You should be seen to rule out a flare or other issue such as kidney stones or even an appendix issue.....

Thank you. I don't have an appendix so at least I can rule that out! But other than that, I'm at a loss! Looks like a trip to the GP for me :-(

Thanks...of course I know it might not be a flare but I just wanted to check that I'm not just being paranoid! Plus I've had 5 BM's today and am feel generally wretched!

I think we all feel paranoid at times. I have an appointment in an hour and I swear something is wrong but I feel like maybe I am being crazy. Every time I go to the pharmacy I feel like a druggie... This disease sucks.
