I have been recovering from excessive B6 intake over the past few months (long story, but always make sure your docs know what the others are prescribing!), and have found that 1 to 2 acetaminophen tabs REALLY helps with the aches and pains. I feel almost normal, and like my old self. My GP didn't see any issue with it, and my Crohn's doc is okay with it too. I'm concerned it will add more irritation at some point to my gut, and am wondering if anyone else has used it more or less regularly, or has had problems with it. I'm really reluctant to stop, since it's helping so much with the inflammation...but don't want to create a problem waiting to happen later!

Acetaminophen generally does not cause any issues with Crohns or UC. It is ibuprofen that can cause gastric issues, or any other NSAID.

Bah, I feel crappy enough without doctors intimidating me into feeling more like ****. Sorry but I don't have time for more neurotic worry in my life. If I want to take an NSAID, I will, and I do. I'd rather risk more blood (how can you tell?) than cancer.
