Anyone ever have a coloscopy with an Illeostomy?

So, I'm scheduled for one in the morning. But the surgeon doing it thought I had a colostomy, not an illeostomy.

How if my sigmoid is gone is she gonna get to my colon??? Go thru never neverland between my anus and 'find' the stump of the colon?

Good news is...no prep needed as colon has been on holiday in Bali for the past 7 months...tee heee.....no prep!!!!!

Shoot -- I just saw my GI and could have asked him how that works. Not sure if the surgeon, whom I see this afternoon, would know. But I try to remember to ask him about it.

Not sure if that will be in time for your procedure but if not we expect a follow-up, detailing what they did!

Mine is being done by a surgeon, as the GI cant do it apparently. I still think I'll just be sent home.
