Anyone heard of this prep

I've been given my prep which is 4 Bisacodyl tablets which are to be taken at 3pm. Then at 6pm l have colonlytely which l mix in 2 litres of water. Anyone heard of this colonlytely....it seems like an awful amount to drink. Then at 5am l have to drink another litre of this stuff....not looking forward to this.

Make sure it really cold. I don't remember the tablets.

Yes I have taken both, after two gulps of the prep I immediately take 2 gulps of 7-up, that masks the aftertaste.

Fernando1, can the colonlytely be mixed in something like apple juice? or does it have to mixed with water.

After a bit or research l found out that colonlytely is also called Kleanprep.

I have never mixed it, it may dilute it too much.
So instead take 2 gulps of the colonlytely then 1 gulp of 7-up or sprite, that will wash out the taste. Of course the 3 gulps mix in the stomach anyways but you are getting twice as much prep as 7-up, I always gone that way and never feel the bad taste for long.

I suggest putting it in the fridge and using a cup with a straw. That stuff tasted terrible

You can mix it with a flavour as long as it's not red, I've had this prep before and it's not been a problem.

Fair warning though, it's a pretty hard one to get down

I had that prep for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I had to drink 4 litres of it and it wasn't pleasant. I found mixing some orange diluting juice in it made it bearable and make sure it's icy cold. I also found it took a while for the powder to dissolve so I made the jugs up half an hour in advance. Prep day today, unless they cancel it like they did 2 weeks ago.

I'm wondering can l eat clear boiled lollies. It's not on my list but l've read somewhere that you can.

Sorry I am so late to this upsetmom. :ghug:

The tablets, laxative/stool softener, are not uncommon at the commencement of a bowel prep. I had to take another type, Coloxyl.

As to the lollies, I was told to have barley sugar, I was able to have them up until I had to fast, 4 hours pre procedure.
