I know the program is new to the state but I was wondering if anyone here has applied for a state issued ID card whether or not you've been accepted or rejected.

I might be interested in applying at some point in the future but I have NO idea where to start!

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!!

I've been looking into this the past few days and it seems that the program is not implemented yet, which I am okay with because I understand that they need time to get things set up.

What pisses me off though is that only NJ doctors can register with the state to prescribe MM! I'm seeing a doctor in NYC but I live in NJ. Some of the best doctors in the world pratice in NYC and NJ is such a close neighbor!!

Hopefully once the program is up and running I can find a doctor in NJ who will support my treatment, but I really don't want to give up my current GI doctor as he is really good.

I read an article that says mid 2012 the program will be up and running, yet the legislation was signed into law in 2010. This is NJ so I highly doubt anything will happen until the appropriate parties are paid off! Grrr

Just posted on a different thread about this... I'm looking into it as well. It looks like things are actually up and running now, Crohn's is one of the specifically qualifying conditions, and they mention IBDs in general as well.

None of my doctors are MM prescribers...there are 2 in my county, but that means a year wait, assuming they'll even decide that I really need it. I don't know how that works.
