Are you clear the day of the colonoscopy?

I read some stuff about people pooping their pants or still having to go the day of the procedure. I was giving golytely and I have to travel over an hour to the office. I just hope the train doesn't get stuck. Was anyone finished or cleared out when they awoke the day of the procedure?

I had this problem, but it was also because I took my prep later than intended. That said, I was still feeling it even after my colonoscopy. So it might also be that I'm very sensitive.

I usually do not have to go on my ride to the GI office - and I have a good hour drive. Make sure you start your prep early enough, it shouldn't make a difference if you start a couple hours early to help make sure you are cleaned out. Not having anything after midnight helps too - that is usually in the instructions....so you get all out before you have to leave. Hope you have a morning scope - I always try to schedule for as early as possible, first there is less chance of being delayed, and I get to go home sooner! - oh, and eat sooner too!

Yeah, I usually feel like I still have to go. But, am wondering if part of that might be from the cleaning out part of the process & from being so sore from having to wipe so much. Good luck on your test and hopefully it'll be all over for you soon.
