This is my second attempt to post this internet went down so I don't know if the other post may appear.

I called a bunch of places today. Only one called me back. Arnold Palmer children's hospital in Orlando. I had a nice conversation with the nurse. She told me their motility specialist is very good. I am wondering if any others have gone there and what their experiences have been. I also liked that their head doctor Dr. Bornstein was in the Air Force.

I am soooo angry with Arnold Palmer. Caitlyn woke up this morning with worse stomach pain and severe nausea. We had made a decision to take her to see the GI team at Arnold Palmer so decided to take her to the ER there. It is a three hour drive from our house. They took her into the ER hydrated her, drew blood work and said it was normal and discharged her. My husband begged them to call the GI team there they called our GI here instead. Finally at the end of the day they briefly spoke o their GI team who said send her home and she can come back to see them in the office tomorrow. What the heck? We have never had a hospital treat us so baldly!!!!!

I'm really sorry you had a bad experience there! Our GI likes to make all the calls when A is in the ER. He is in constant contact with the attending physician and decides what tests to run and whether he wants her admitted or not. If he weren't that way I'm sure the rehydrate and release plan would be their go-to. I hope you find a GI and hospital you like and trust.

I think since she wasn't a patient of theirs yet
As in never being seen and not in critical condition that may have been why
Also until you see one if their gi's she would still be under the care of your old Gi .
Once she is seen by a doc in the Gi clinic as their patient things might be different at the ER
Cause then doc x Is calling the shots kwim
Sorry she is feeling bad

I don't know MLP every other time she has been in an ER the GI doc of that hospital has always come to see her.

I'm sure you have but have you considered Mayo in Jacksonville? I know it would be a ride, probably 4 hours but a 3rd set of eyes might not hurt, especially if you don't see results at current hospital.

Clash I thought about them but I think we have decided to take her to Philadelphia. I spoke with them this morning. They were so nice. We are going to send her records. They will do a review and figure out the best doctor for her to see in their center and they will set up an appt.

Oh I'm so glad they are going to take in her records and review them and find the right doc at their center for Caitlyn. I hope they come to some quick, solid answers that will get her feeling better quickly!!
