As suspected, the GI wants to do an upper endoscope and colonoscopy so we got that scheduled for December 9th (soonest they had available). We basically discussed DD's medical history and symptoms as well as her recent test work. He was in agreement with her PCP that further investigation is needed. He said "Let's just get in there and see what's going on."

No definitive answers but I didn't expect that today. Just glad to be moving in the right direction. However, this waiting is going to be the death of me. I'm a control freak . . . . who is feeling a bit out of control!!!

Oh, and did I mention, we just bought land and started designing a new house right before this all started. I am going to be a big ball of nerves!!!

Good news that gi wants to move to scopes! That wait actually isn't that long but I know what you mean. Unfortunately there is a lot of hurry up and wait with this disease I just really hope the scopes give you clear answers!

The house should serve as a nice distraction! I always find a project helps me with the waiting.

Good luck!

Sending you and your daughter LOTS of support and best wishes.

Great news
Hopefully things will go quickly and you will get results soon.

DS first scope we had to wait 6-8 weeks
Once he was dx he has had scopes in less than 24 hours if the gi wants
Gi just admits him overnight

More standard routine scopes are 2-3 weeks out.

Just so you're prepared, after you do get scopes, then you have to wait for the pathology. After the pathology results, then you have to wait for the doctor to make decisions. This disease is all about waiting. I'm sure I'm going to die younger just from all the stress. Hang in there!

Gah! Can't stand the waiting. I'm such a fix-it person and I can't fix it if I don't know what's wrong.
