I know I probably vent too much in here, but I have to vent again. I'm having such a bad day. I only ate safe foods and I didn't do anything to upset my tummy, but I woke up this morning feeling weird. After a toilet trip with lots of d, I suddenly felt really hungry, so I had an Ensure, which made me really nauseous and crampy. The cramps then turned into pain. I managed to make it in to work anyway, although I probably should have stayed home since I still feel yucky.

On my lunch hour, since I wasn't feeling particularly hungry, I decided to run an errand and buy an xmas gift. But upon getting to the store, I found that the one thing I was buying was no longer on sale, and it costs more than double what it did previously. Grr! So I bought it anyway even though it was too expensive, just so I could check another gift off the list.

Then, after leaving the store, I realized that I had lost one of my brand new, expensive gloves. I checked with their lost and found but nobody had turned it in. Ugh! To top it off, it's extremely cold out (less than 20 degrees and even colder with the wind chill) so I really need gloves!

Thanks for letting me vent. It's just been such a stupid day, I should have listened to my first instinct and stayed in bed!

i know how you feel on the venting level! a good vent always does you good. im sorry you arent feeling well and i hope things look up for you soon. i also find that when i eat safe foods i still have an angry tummy :( and im sorry about the glove! i couldnt imagine how cold it is there! its about 30's here and its absolutely freezing!! but look on the bright side, atleast you got your xmas shopping done! (I also paid double for something just to check it out) wouldve been nice to save money but on the same time, not worth the hassle!

Cat,
Sorry you are having a bad day :( It will get better, the holidays cause so much stress I know it tends to flare me up a bit.

Thanks Xoxava and Nica for listening to my rant. Yeah, Nica, I think you're right about holiday stress, I feel like I'm in a mini-flare. I'm in more pain today than I was yesterday. I haven't been sleeping well and I still feel yucky.

Xoxava, I didn't totally finish my xmas shopping yet, I still have a few more things to get unfortunately. My goal is to finish my shopping this weekend, if my body will cooperate with me and allow me to go shopping. It doesn't help that my sister-in-law said she'd like a vintage camera for xmas (it doesn't have to be a working one, she just wants it for display) so I guess I have to go to the antiques mall which is always a hassle. I must be allergic to dust or mold or something because my allergies always kick up when I go to the antiques mall. So now I've got that fun to look forward to. Can I just fast-forward and skip this mini-flare and the holidays? Ha ha.

Awe sorry your having a rough day Hun, I had to laugh when u said it's under 20 degrees an your freezing coz here in the uk it's -5 and been -17 !!!!!
Think how cold we are lol

Cat - have you checked ebay for a camera?.....I do a TON of shopping there -you can get some awesome deals, and not worry about going out!

Jenny: Are you talking about celsius? It's around 20 degrees here but that's fahrehneit. I found a fahrenheit to celsius converter online, and it says that 20 degrees fahrenheit is about -7 celsius. It was 6 degrees fahrenheit this morning which is -14 celsius. So it sounds like we have similar temperatures, actually! :)

Paso: Good idea, I haven't used ebay in a few years but I'll check it out. I did look on craigslist for a camera but didn't find anything there.

Haha trust me to mess up and look dull lmao, at least I know how cold you are coz I'm bloody freezing !!!

Yeah, it's freezing here and that's why I was so upset that I lost my glove! :( I dug up another pair out of my closet, but they're not as warm as the one I lost. I can't figure out where I lost it, either. I only went to one store yesterday, otherwise I was at home and at work. The glove isn't at home or work and I called the store but they don't have it in their lost and found. Hmmph.

But things are looking up for me a little bit other than the glove thing. I wasn't sure if I could get a camera on ebay shipped to me in time for xmas, so I braved the antiques mall on my lunch break and managed to find a really cool camera from the 50s for pretty cheap, so I'm happy about that. Only a few more xmas gifts to buy now! I'm still in this mini-flare or whatever it is, but in less pain than I was in this morning, so hopefully this mini-flare ends soon.

Cat,
So glad the pain is a bit less for you currently. You are a wonderful sister-in-law to run around like that when you feel like garbage. I hope your family realizes what you go through to get the perfect gift for each of them. Kinda' cool to watch them open it though, huh?
Come rant/vent any time. I will always read this section and do my best to reply. You all listen to me way more than enough.
All the best,
Michele

Thanks, Michele. I think most of my family understands, or at least tries to, about what I'm going through. My mother-in-law just emailed me this morning to make sure she makes some food that I can eat for xmas eve dinner, that was nice of her. (My father-in-law is another story, but that's another vent for another time, ha ha.) And I only have 2 more xmas gifts to buy and then I'm DONE! I'm just going to get gift cards for the last two, so that'll be easy, thank goodness.

I hope everyone else is dealing okay with the holiday stress! Is it January yet? ;)

No, not January yet, sorry. You all can stick your tongues out now if you wish because....I love Christmas and all the rushing and special cooking and baking.
Hope all is well,
Michele

*Sticks out Tounge at Michele* I love the holidays, but hate when I can't do what all I want to do with them. I am going to try to bake today though.. wish me luck~

*Also sticks tongue out* I love the holidays too, but I could do without the stress. This year I am dumb enough to get a dog 10 days before xmas... my husband is bringing the dog home right now, she'll be waiting for me when I get home from work. So I do wish it were January - by then, the dog will have gotten settled in, my cat will (hopefully) have stopped hating me for getting a dog, and most importantly the holiday stress will all be over.

Nica, good luck with your baking! I always get so ambitious in my head about baking, but in actuality usually I make one batch of cookies if that and then get sick of it. I have already made one batch of xmas cookies this year, so yeah, I'm done with baking until next year. ;)

LOL my husband would rebel if I don't make HIS cookies. I never make them except Christmas time. I want to make ohh 6 or 7 types.. one down..one completely ate so needs to be redone. I am not doing well with it! LOL

Let me know how the dog is!?
