So I'm taking Pentsa tablets but they are massive and I can't swallow them whole so do you think it would be OK to cut into smaller chunks and swallow each one individually because on the box it says don't crush or chew?
No, you can't break them either, but you can dissolve them by placing in 50mls of cold water, stir rapidly and then drink immediately. This is the same patient information leaflet contained in my son's Pentasa, please read the link below to ensure I am referring to same preparation of Pentasa that you are taking.
Pentasa is usually specially coated so that it dissolves in the intestines and not the stomach. You shouldn't break the tablets and speak with your doctor if you have problems swallowing the pills.
