Hello all,
I have a really bad cold, which comes with the usual body aches. It turns out I see my GI doctor today. Is there anything they can give me to take the edge off of the body aches? I haven't gotten a cold in awhile. Before diagnosed, I just took ibuprofen. I cannot take any anti-inflammatories now, so I was wondering what you all have done when having a cold to help with the aches and pains.

Also, I can't take cough medicine. I literally throw it up because it burns so badly going down my throat. When I have a cold, I never get any sleep. I even took a benadryl last night and I still woke up multiple times. Any ideas for this question?

All answers and support is much appreciated! Thank you!

Hi, the one that works for me is Anadin extra, its a mix of paracetemol/aspirin/caffeine. Of course you could just try plain old paracetemol, but I'd recommend Anadin extra, certainly takes the edge of things.
Be careful with the cough medicines, again we are all different but i've found that these can upset my stomach, I avoid them now
