Changing my life:crohn'ds disease since 15 years ago

Hi to all
i am ali from iran.i was diagnose with crohn's disease since 15 years ago in u.s.a.i lived in u.s.a from 1986 until 2005.
And got bad luck.

No surgery yet but it has been ruff times with lots of flare ups.
I had to leave everything i had in u.s.a and go back to my born country because my disease was preventing me to keep a job and could not make ends meet and pay off ""insurance deductible bills
from hospital which were piling up"".rent and car payment on the other hand were pushing.
I did have brother,uncles and aunt in u.s.a but there were all busy with their own life and did not want to trouble them.

Recently had colonoscopy.a regular polyp and a pseudopolyp in my sigmoid colon were find.only regular polyp was taken out.

Wish that all diseases be cured.and good luck to all.

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU.WELL KEEP MY FINGER CROSS AND HOPE FOR A NEW CURE FOR CROHN'S DISEASE.

BY THE WAY GUYS AZATHIOPRINE DID NOT WORK ON ME.AFTER 6 DAYS TAKING IT MY WHITE BLOOD CELLS WERE EXTREMELY DOWN AND I LOST ALL OF MY HAIR.I HAD TO BE HOSPITALIZED FOR ONE WEEK TO BRING UP MY WHITE CELLS COUNT TO NORMAL.RIGHT NOW I AM JUST TAKING 8 PILLS OF PENTASA A DAY.

SEEMS LIKE IT IS AUTO IMMUNE SYSTEM PROBLEM.MY THYROID GLANS WERE TOO ACTIVE AND I HAD TO DRINK 20CC OF RADIOACTIVE IODINE TO KILL THE THYROID GLANDS.NOW I HAVE TO TAKE A PILL OF LEVOTHYROXINE A DAY.AND AFTER THAT MY BLOOD SUGAR WERE KIND OF UN NORMAL SO TO CONTROL IT I HAVE TO TAKE 3 PILLS OF METFORMINE WHICH IS FOR TYPE 2 DIABETES.

ALSO SEEMS LIKE I HAVE MENIERES' TOO((disorder of the inner ear))) AND I TAKE BETASERC 16MG FOR IT.

*****(((DOCTORS SAY """""IT IS ALL BECAUSE OF THE IMMUNE SYSTEM PROBLEM"""" THAT I HAVE.THE IMMUNE SYSTEM ATTACKS OTHER PART OF BODY AS WELL AS COLON.))****

HEY THANKS MAN. I JUST CHECKED SYNTHROID IS ANOTHER NAME FOR ""LEVOTHYROXINE"".THEY ARE THE SAME MEDICATION.


Synthroid (levothyroxine) is a replacement for a hormone normally produced by your thyroid gland to regulate the body's energy and metabolism

I TELL YOU WHAT I USE TO SAVE SOME MONEY AND GO TO RED LOBSTER AND ORDER THE PLATTER DISH IT HAS EVERYTHING;LOBSTER ,SHRIMP,FISH ,STAKE,SEA SCALLOPS,CRAB LEGS .......

TOO BAD I HAD TO LEAVE U.S.A BECAUSE OF MY DISEASE .
I HAD A NEW CAR THAT WAS GOING TO BE MINE AND I WAS GOING TO BUY A CONDO BUT SUDDENLY I FOUND OUT I HAVE CROHNS'

I too suffer from multiple health issues. Crohn's, being a systemic disease, makes us more vulnerable or fragile unfortunately. I didnt feel anything else besides the crohn's until 10 years after diagnosis. Now I feel issues are just accumulating. I have joint and throat chronic issues, minor at least.

Im sorry you had such a hard time on AZA. What dose were you on when you started treatment?

are you in full remission with Pentasa?

Dear ronroush7 and lady organic hi,I wish all health and happiness.
Thanks for your comments.I live in iran as I said I could not afford to pay my INSURANCE deductibles THEY WERE ADDING UP and other expenses and at work they cut my hours because I was calling off often.

Now my real question from you guys is do you know any gastroenterologist email address that you could give me so I would be able to send my colonoscopy VIDEO to him and ask him a question.
I need consultant.
Do you know anyone?if so please send me his email.
