I don't drink soda but I do love my one cup o joe in the am.
I always hear no caffeine.

What do you guys think!?

If it doesn't upset the stomach is it still bad in some way!?

Just curious

I gave up coffee for awhile when I was really sick and diagnosed a year ago, but my two cups per morning now help keep me regular instead of "d" like it used to.

Sometimes. I go through times when I can't touch it. Usually I'm alright to have a cup or two in the morning.

If it doesn't cause you pain or other symptoms, it's fine.

Coffee used to cause me a lot of pain, but I used to carry a cup of it to work every morning because my boyfriend made extra and it kept my hands warm. :p Taking little sips every morning apparently helped me get used to it, and now it doesn't bother me. A lot of it is just what your body is used to.

Hot coffee always bugs me, and sends me to the restroom with cramping and BMs. But I love it! So, if I know I'll be home for a while, I'll just have a cup. If I am out and need some energy, then I get an iced coffee. It's not the same, but it doesn't give me cramps so I'll deal with it. It's weird, though, because I can drink hot tea and it doesn't bother me at all. I'm stumped!

No tea or coffee for me :-( Even in remission, they both really upset me, especially the coffee. One cup guarantees me hours in the loo. I can however drink Redbush with no effects at all :)

Never!!! It hurts me soooo bad. I have learned to love tea. I already have collected around 10 different kinds. Honey in it also helps with sore throats which I get a lot.

For me, it's never. Caffeine seems to trigger migraines for me, and coffee makes everything move right through me. The closest I can get is caffeine-free herbal tea - I usually go for chamomile, ginger, or mint teas. They're yummy and warm and don't cause migraines. Sometimes the warmth makes things move through me a little quicker, but mostly it's comforting to my tummy and seems to do me some good.

Oh, and here's a tidbit I learned while I'm thinking of it - so-called "decaf" coffee or teas really aren't caffeine-free. They have less caffeine than their regular full-caffeine counterparts, but they do have some caffeine. I learned that the hard way! So I cannot drink "decaf" green tea or anything along those lines either. If something says "caffeine-free" then it means it, absolutely no caffeine, but "decaf" just means "less caffeine".

I hate coffee, and tea. I drink coke with caffeine almost everyday though. It doesn't seem to cause me any symptoms. I've actually read that coke at room temperature can help make your stomach feel better. Also everyone seems to talk about caffeine keeping you awake at night, but I can fall fast asleep right after drinking coke.

I swapped to caff-free cos I discovered it put my blood sugars up, I'm nearly afraid to try regular coffee now lol, I drink sooooo many cups of pretend coffee a day. :)

I used to drink 2 cups coffee before work, after reading on here how many people avoided it I decided from around 3pm yesterday to cut it out. Now it could be totally a coincidence but I have felt so much better today, its early days but it could have some relevance!!!! Hoping it continues........newly diagnosed 10 weeks ago, so still tweaking meds and trigger foods etc. :)

I used to drink loads of coffee, but now only once or twice a month. I've never noticed it causing problems, but I don't want to recreate the depency I had on it. The ocassional soy latte is such a nice treat though!

I generally stick to a cup of tea or a hot chocolate. I have a weak milky coffee here and there :) not a fan of strong coffee anyway. If i drink too much it does give me cramps! I love green tea and flavored teas, peppermints pretty good if you're feeling bloated and crampy :)

Thanks everyone for your comments!
I have figured out coffee that has artificial anything like
D&D and certain types of Starbucks =death. Which is super boo because
I love pumpkin everything in fall.
If I make my own coffee and just have a small amount of
1/2 and 1/2 just a cup in the am I'm good.
Oh also I think it's interesting some of you wrote you
Could have iced but not hot. I am the exact opposite. Iced coffee
