I started to come down with a cold or something Wednesday. I can't shake it. I have a stuffy and runny nose and it's too late to call anyone. Would they give me anything? I don't want my nose running when I'm knocked out lol. I had a feeling something was going to happen....If it's not allergies it's a cold.

I don't think so... I was in a lot of pain before my colonoscopy and asked if there was anything I could take, but had nurses tell me no because they thought it might have an effect on the anesthetic they were going to give me.

Mention it to the nurses when you get there, though. They might have some input or advice, or might recommend something for you after. I hope you feel better soon! (And good luck with the colonoscopy.)

Yes, the nurses will ask you a number of questions before they prep you for colonoscopy, be sure to mention your cold and cold symptoms.

Hey, if anything don't worry about it, when they put you under you will more likely than not have a nurse there to wipe your nose for you. :p

Feel better and good luck with everything!

I told them...when I got there breathing through my nose got better. They did ask a ton of questions. I guess I was a little awake during the procedure, because my doc said I was freaking out when I saw the polyps on the screen. I have no memory of that. I must have been out of my mind, because I'm usually calm.
