Colitis makes period worse??

Hi, was just wondering if anyone's periods have gotten any worse since being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis? My cramping is a whole lot worse, it seems heavier and also I've been getting quite a lot of mucus from my back passage, I don't know if that's something separate to my period though..

Mine had been getting worse but once I started taking entocort, my periods literally last 3 days max. The cramping is still terrible, but it lasts fewer days so I guess that's a plus!

I have Crohn's Colitis and my cramping is much worse since being diagnosed. Seems heavier too, but I have stopped taking birth control so that could also be the reason.

My mom says I have always had diarrhea with my period, but I only really remember it being bad in the last few years.
