So im having a colonoscopy on the 29th and im a bit worried cos i have a anal tear and a lump on my bum, my question is can they still do a colonoscopy because of the tear and lump?

I had a pretty bad abscess when I had my colonoscopy. The surgeon wasn't worried at all. They gave me some sort of drugs and I didn't feel anything. I don't know about the tear though. I'd call the docs office and let them know about it soon, so they can reschedule if need be.

Agree

Did your talk to your doctor Badtummy4? If they were already aware of the tear then I imagine that's why they wanted to do a scope to see if there was anything else going on. If they aren't aware of it then they need to know just in case. I haven't heard anyone mention that they weren't able to have a scope done because of a fissure or abscess. Keep us posted.

No i dont think they know i will keep u posted xx

Are you able to contact them ahead of time? They may be able to give you better instructions on how to clean out for the scope. If you have an open wound then I imagine that the prep the day before is going to be extremely painful. Be sure to touch bases with them before prep day. *HUGS*
