Connected to crohns?

Went to the dr today, lately my cheeks have been rosey, dry, and irritated. I have had this before and for quite some time but just dealt with it. Went to the dr today to ask about it and if there is anything to help, he said its roseacea. Both my parents have it. Dr gave me metrogel for it. He also said that this is common with patients with crohns. Never heard of this before. But I guess rosecea is inflammation of the skin, so maybe makes sense that it could be more common.
Anyone ever hear if this? Anyone else have it? Any natural ways to control it?

Jeez I have some roseacea on my face. If this is true I would never have connected the two. I have it in a small area on both sides of my face. It's not bad , I don't treat it specifically just use really good cleanser, retinA and moisturizer. Wow, who knew?

He gave me cream, metrogel. Once it calms down he said just use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer.

I also have it! Dermatologist has been trying to get me to treat it for a couple of years, but it doesn't bother me so I don't do anything. never would have connected the two. (funny thing is I figured it was hereditary since my mom has it... except I'm adopted so that doesn't make any sense!!)

I have it, as well. So does my mother and two of my nieces. I'm so used to how I look it really doesn't bother me. I rarely think about it except when I have a drink, and then I turn as red as a beet.

That's the same for me, just the last two weeks it's been worse, so I decided to get it checked out.

I have rosacea too ever since I have started cimzia but I guess now it could just be crohns and not the medication.
I use double base gel which is prescribed for the dryness but I was told by my dermatologist it's really hard to do anything about getting rid of the rosacea. They did suggested a strange treatment which I decided not to try but it was eyedrops that you would apply to the red patches and it makes it less noticeable.
I use to cover mine a skin primer that has a yellow tinge to it that masks the redness it's made by bare minerals. I also use the powder foundation they have as I found liquid foundations I was using before just made the dry patches more noticeable.
