I have a trouble with this sinking in (Crohn's). I know others have worse severities and more issues outside of health concerns. And i feel for others as well. I just keep stressing about my own conditions and now starting to think how others deal with their own problems. In general i feel like Crohn's itself is creating even more stress than i should have at the age of 19 and i cant find a way to get rid of this constant thinking as i know as this is bad and can heighten symptoms. Any strategies you all have to settle yourself down with worries of yourself.
Thanks

Hi crohns is a creator of stress as you say. Thus its hard not to stress when it affects your daily life..i try it take each day as it comes and not worry about what may or may not happen in the future. Not always easy tho..
I do manage to do quite well with that most of the time.. i deal with each issue as it presents and enjoy each good day, and remember that each bad day is not going to last forever.
Hope you find your way of coping soon. We are all different and deal with things differently.
Best wishes 💕💕

I like to get out and go for walks.. Or if I'm not feeling well i do yoga. I also like to knit/crochet and play piano and guitar.. a nice relaxing hobby is always good

Thanks everyone, I feel like I should be able to distract myself with certain hobbies as I have been trying to do that. And also taking it one day at a time is a smart way to think of it.

Yes, yoga and meditation really help me when I'm feeling anxious or down. I used to find knitting, spinning etc really therapeutic as well, but it's it too hot to do those in Burma!

Trust your doctors. Follow their instructions. Take your meds and stick to your diet if they gave you one. No one else is going to supervise you, you have to take care of yourself. Then, when you know you're doing all you can, the stress can get better. Don't read too many Crohn's horror stories, they may not apply to you at all. Ever. Enjoy the small things in life, every day.
