Hi all, I was just wondering what some people did for nausea. I have a prescription for Zofran - but even after taking it sometimes I just feel horrible. I was wondering if anything else had worked for anyone - I've tried motion sickness stuff, and other drugs like Nauzene - but they don't do much. Probably because they're targeted at nausea causes by overindulgence in food, and well I'm not really nauseous from motion sickness.

My G.I. thinks that my nausea will just go away, but it hasn't - which kind of scares me ): I'm on my last refill of Zofran and I'm afraid to ask for more - that he might say no. It's just unbearable. I need to be able to go to class without sitting there worrying about how awful I feel.

I've had one treatment of Remicade, not really sure if that has anything to do with it. Considering my constant nausea was one of the things that forced me to go to the G.I.

Anyways, thanks for any help you can give! :sign0085:

Hi there :bigwave: sorry you are having nausea, meds can be a major culprit and you could be reacting to it. Folic acid can help the nausea. Ginger helps too. Not much help I am afraid, keep sipping water, that can help a bit too. :hang:

Hi there! I hope your nausea gets better soon! Pen is right about Ginger. Peppermint can also be beneficial. I discovered an OTC med several years ago while pregnant that's called Emetrol. Worked pretty well for me. I even give it to my kids whenever they had bad nausea. Currently, though, whenever I get nausea, it's so bad that I have to take Zofran 8mg oral dissolving tablets (1 every eight hours) and I occasionally rotate it with Phenergan 25mg. White soda and crackers can help somewhat on a queasy stomach, however you need to try and sip some gatorade or powerade to ensure your electrolytes don't become depleted and you end up dehydrated. Take care and I hope you feel better soon! :)
