Hi guys, :)

I'm new to the forum and was recently told that I could have a mild developing form of Crohn's disease but would have to wait 7 weeks or longer for a colonoscopy.

I've been reading a lot of comments and you guys seem to encourage using the Curcumin tablets and multivitamins as part of your daily routine.

Would you recommend I try these even prior to diagnosis? I assume because they're over-the-counter it'll still be fine for my health (perhaps good!) even if I don't have Crohn's, which I think I do as all symptoms point to it.

I've found some Doctor's Best 100mg tablets: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Doctors-Best-Absorption-CoQ10-Veggie/dp/B0019GW38G/

But I wanted to know which brands you guys recommend.

Take care and I hope you're all well!

I get the Life Extension Super Bio-Curcumin. It supposedly is formulated to be better absorbed but I don't know how true that is. It seems to work for me.

The only multi-v type supplement I take is the Rainbow Light Complete B-Complex. I chose it because it is food based and contains more than just B vitamins. It also contains C, calcium, mag, zinc, and other useful stuff.

I remember there being a post about the generic multivitamins being a waste of money. If you eat properly you should get all your vits from your food. If you cannot absorb or due to inflammation/blood loss use too much of a certain vitamin you should just suppliment for that, but your blood tests should give you some guidence

At the moment ive been using normal shop bought turmeric but will be starting Good Health Naturally Curcumin X4000 soon. Apart from that I also take peppermint oil and ginger capsules

If you're looking for a vitamin, try a B Complex, multivitamins are a waste of money, just flush em down the toilet and cut out the middle man!

I take Dr. Mercola's whole food multivitamins. They pretty much have everything you need except vitamin K2. I take that seperately.

I have used Dr's Best curcumin. I do not buy any particular brand of curcumin.

I have been told by one of my rlatives that Nutrilite's (amway) multivitamins are good and I am seriously thinking to start it.

Thanks so much guys!

I'll see if I can find a b-complex one and look for some curcumin too. :)

If you do get a multivitamin I would look into brands like Garden of Life, MegaFood, or Dr Mercola. Whatever fits your budget.

With Curcumin I would just buy it in organic powder and put some on your food or smoothies or just cap it yourself, just don't forget to put some black pepper in for better absorption.
