If you've been in remission, and suddenly have a flare, how do you get your mind back to where it was when you were in remission---I was the happiest last week (before the stupid mistake of trying spicy/bean food -_- ) but now all I do is WORRY and dwell...

do you ever despise yourself and wish you could turn back time, for potentially causing a relapse? :(

Oh yes, definitely. I did that to myself last summer when I accidentally gave myself a really bad lactose reaction while already in flare.

That said, maybe you could try and refocus your attention on getting yourself out of your flare (which I think you're doing by consulting doctors), but also find something you can unwind and distract yourself with. When I was pretty sick, I did a lot of TV-watching to help keep my mind off of it.

I certainly do. I am undiagnosed, but these stomach issues are causing a complete uproar in my life, so I have no choice but to dwell at times :( I try not to, but I am in pain 24/7 and I had to quit my job so bills are piling up, adding to the stress. Been fighting for 10 months for an answer, still nothing. And I have a fear that once I to get a diagnosis I will live in fear of a flare at all times

It's hard not to. Especially when you've had a flare that's been ongoing for awhile. I don't dwell on my medical challenge quite as much when I'm doing alright. But, I still have to be careful to make sure I'm not going to relapse.

Extremely hard not to dwell on my stomach issues ..they can be quite severe and cannot be ignored... Pretty much have to revolve my entire life around my stomach... thank god I am blessed with a supportive family, wife and mother......I have my workshop built right behind my house and it allows me to stay working on days when I would have been forced to stay home from a normal 9-5...
