Three weeks ago I suddenly had diarrhea. It continued for a week as regular diarrhea and then it stared to become bloody. It looks like sawdust in the toilet that sinks to the bottom of the bowel. and collects in a pile like dirt. Usually at the end of the movement there is red blood and blood on the toilet paper. Its been the same for 2 weeks . Stool sample came and blood work normal except wbc elevated in stool. Dr prescribed antibiotic Augmentin. Which haven't changed anything. Im going to get a ct at the end of the week. I have no pain, I don't feel tired I don't have a history of gi problems im 35 years old. The only thing that made me start thinking I might have IBD is I have developed some canker sores on the side of my tongue and cheek . Does this sound like IBD or am I reading to far into it.

I'm undiagnosed and new to all of this as well (i'm 39). I also do not feel tired. High white blood cell count can be caused by Crohn's inflammation but bacterial and viral infections can also cause high WBC's. Have you noticed the diarrhea to be worse with any particular foods? Did they check for anything else in your stool sample like C. difficile, parasites, salmonella, campylobacter, shigella?
Besides blood work and Stool sample, I've had a colonoscopy, endoscopy, abdominal ultrasound, CT with IV contrast.
This coming Saturday I'll have a CT enterography. You might think about asking for this type of CT if that's not the one you are having. You have to drink this contrast drink. Then they inject you with a IV contrast before they start the CT scan. It shows alot and shows your organs pretty wall AND also shows your small intestine well. A normal CT with just IV will not show your small bowel well. Just sharing what I've had done so far to help with additional tests you can ask about.
Hopefully, it's not Crohns and there are definitely other possibilities besides Crohns.

They did test me for cdiff. Im not sure what else they tested me for . As far as food goes it does not matter what I eat. Its the same. I will have to look into exactly what they tested me for. The bloody stool has stopped for now
