Dreading tomorrows follow up!

Doctor finally called me after three days of messages to figure out tapering for pred (since my current rx runs out tmw, nothing like him cutting it close)

This was the first time I've ever been cut off mid sentence while answering a doctors questions, twice in one call! My doctors lack of care and people skills really bums me out, and though I hate jumping from doctor to doctor I know I'll need to find a new GI

Some doctors have no bedside manners and others are terrible at keeping up with their patient load. Sounds like you scored a double with this GI. I think you have every right to search out someone decent who talks to you and helps you in advance of deadlines.

At first I thought I was being overly critical until tonight his first question was "how are your bm's since your discharge?" And I started answering and right in the middle of my sentence he goes "you know, I don't want you on the prednisone anymore.... How are you feeling?" And I started again saying "well a few days ago I felt..." To which he cut me off again by saying "just come in tomorrow morning and we'll talk then"
I was shocked, one by the rudeness of being cut off and two because he's making medical decisions without letting me fully (or even partially) answer his questions!

This is the same guy that when diagnosing me with this very new thing (that I know almost nothing about) his run down of my case was "moderate, shouldn't need future surgery, won't get any worse". Okay, but what is it?! I've never even heard of crohns before now!

Yeah you need to get away from him. I hate doctors who have a prescription in mind before they even know the problem. He is not listening and not caring for your needs. You can find better, I hope.

Yea, now just to see who. I kind of got turned off when he told me "you shouldn't be in this much pain therefore I don't want to give you anything for pain" and later that week I ended up going to the er for pain after being up all night due to pain and blood and waiting 4 hours for him to call me back (I don't like going straight to the er during regular office hours) and when I'm already there he calls me back about 6 hrs later saying "oh you should've just gone to my office, it's probably just hemorrhoids" uhmm.. It wasnt
