Hello all,
I've just started a course of Entocort (Budesinide) and Pentasa (Mesalasine). from day one I started feeling queasy after meals. I've tried reducing meal size. It's helped a little bit but not really getting rid of the unbearable nausea.

Does anyone else get these symptoms?

It's so distracting... I can't concentrate in work with the constant nausea.

Any help would be appreaciated.

Hi, I find prochlorperazine helps with nausea, domperidone helps a bit too.

In the UK you can buy prochlorperazine from a chemist without a doctor's prescription, its brand name is Buccastem. Domperidome and higher doses of prochlorperazine need a prescription.

Welcome to the forum, btw. :)

thank unXmas,
I got the buccastem, it didn't really work unfortunately. I'm going to see my GP about getting Motileum (domperidone) as that has been reclassified and is only available via prescription now. Annoying because it's a 10 day wait for my local GP!

I've since come off Buseonisde and started Prednisone and Azathioprine. Nurse will visit to show me how to self inject the Humira (adalimumab). I'm just starting this journey after getting my diagnosis in December... it's going to be a long nausea filled road I feel :(

Hello.

I am on budenoside as well and have been extremely nauseated. Mostly at night which I found strange because I take my med in the morning. I was thinking maybe it's my dinner meal??

I hope you find some relief. And if you do...share!!! Best of luck to you.

I too was extremely nauseated on Pentasa. It turned out I was allergic to the salicylates in the Pentasa. Took quite a while to get the Pentasa out of my system and the nausea to subside. Pentasa happens to be a med that has an unknown "half life". Which means if it usually takes a day for a med to clear your system, Pentasa can stick around in your body for a day, weeks or longer after you stop taking it. Currently, on no meds just Paleo diet. Hope you figure this out soon. Nausea can be so debilitating. Good luck to all😊
