I will just have to go off the top of my head, too many to name all and I'll probably miss some, but I'll stream some names off...
PC Games----Max Payne 1 & 2, No One Lives Forever 2, Far Cry 1, Command & Conquer Series (Mostly the Red Alert spin off's), Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Serious Sam Series, Soldier of Fortune 2, Unreal Tournament, Crysis, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Star Craft, Gears of War, Empire Earth, Age of Empires 2, Quake 3 Arena, Half Life series, Oblivion, Fallout 3
Console Games----Perfect Dark 1, GoldenEye 007, The Legend of Zelda Series (mostly Ocarina of Time), Super Mario Bros. Series (mostly SMB 3), Killzone 2, Uncharted Drakes Fortune, Time Splitters: Future Perfect, Mercenaries 1, Resistance series, Crystalis, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Super Mario Kart (the old ones, haven't played the Wii one), Super Smash Bros. (again, haven't played the Wii one), Savage Moon, The Matrix: Path of Neo, Army of Two, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, God of War series
Portable games too, but they follow a pattern of mostly solid platforming or old school games, ie: New Super Mario Bros., Untold Legends, Link's Awakening, etc...and even older ones like the 2D Simpsons and TMNT games from the original Gameboy (I'm bored of Tetris, don't like it anymore, so no). But 3D gaming, portably, is great: God of War -Chains of Olympus and Resistance Retribution
I'm also a graphics wh**e, as the term goes...majorly adore sweet graphics, but it alone won't overall make a game legendary (except for its visuals, of course).

I only like the older Call of Duty games (people assume because I'm a massive FPS fan I'm into the new ones) the way they used to be, I refuse to buy the newer ones until either they're dirt cheap later or until Activision changes their attitudes. I also HATE music/ rhythm games (ie: Rock Band, Guitar Hero, DJ Hero) and turn-based games (ie: Civilization and Lost Odyssey)...Music games are too bland and basic for me, and I hate "taking turns" as it's unrealistic and pulls me out of the experience. There are no "turns" in war or in battles, it's dynamic and fluid, so the games emulating that should be as well.
