Fever ....

DS started running a fever last night if 101F
No other symptoms at all.
He has only run a fever ever a few times with a clear source of the fever .
Waiting to see how this morning goes.
I will need to call on call Gi if it continues .

Did your child ever flare with just a fever ?
If so what happened when ....

My son's initial illness began with just a fever, but within days other symptoms began to appear. I hope this is just a little bug and all will be well soon with your son.

We have fever with diarrhea and a stomach ache that comes and goes. Fever got as high as 101.6 but is hovering around 99.5 now. Hope your son's breaks and stays away!

Was his Humira dose yesterday?

Nope humira dose was last Friday .
Low grade this morning so far.
He normally has stomach aches cramping nausea rashes
Headaches and joint pain so those continue but not any worse than usual just his lower back .

S had fevers, mainly in the evening. He also had diarrhea. Fevers would last a couple of days, d a couple days more then all good for a few days... then it would start again.

The only time he had nausea or vomitting was when his fever was at its highest, I think it was more due to the fever than his flare.

Am hoping it's just a bug he caught. :ghug:

Any chance your son has spondyloarthritis or some type of JIA? My daughter used to have fevers with her flares a couple years ago. The lower back pain made me think of it - her sacroiliac joints are very painful.

I say "flare" in quotes because GI never believes us... Or at least that is what it feels like. Hope he gets feeling better soon.

In the waiting room today at the hospital, they had penguin pictures on the wall. There was one of a momma with her flipper (sorry, don't know penguin anatomy?) on the shoulder of a baby with their backs to the camera. Made me smile...
