Why are you not getting benadryl? If I may ask..

I'm waiting for mine and I thought we all wanted benadryl...

For the first infusion I would recommend it just incase. Usually they do order it especially for the first time.

Benedryl is over the counter, take some anyway. Benedryl and tylenol are good premeds to take.

I had my first infusion, no benadryl, they gave me allegra and tylenol, things went very well, no problems so far.

I'm really happy for you. Glad it's ok. Please keep us posted on how you feel and things like that.

Mine is coming up soonb and I am quite worried about it.

Moogie dont worry at all about your infusion of remicade, you probably have read about all the bad experiences just like me, so I was very nervous about my first one. It was a piece of pie. Dont worry about a reaction, for every 1 bad experience there are hundreds of great ones just like mine, goodluck to you and take care.

Thank you for the info it's much appreciated. :)

It's nice to be able to get some comfort here and there.

Allegra is also an antihistamin just like benedryl, so they did give you a premed afterall. Allegra is non drowsy so thats even better for you.

Sometimes I switch out benedryl for claritin, if I have lots to do that day.

Well, I just got off the phone with my great Dr. and it's Remi time for this girl. I have been trying to avoid it because of all the bad stuff I read, just like you all read. But you all have made me feel wayyyyyyy better. I don't have a date yet but I have done all the pre-stuff (insurance approval and TB test) so here goes!! I'm still a bit "skeered"! lol
