I apologize in advance for the detail of this post. Please do not read on if you get grossed out easily. Last year I began developing a large abscess close to my anus. After a few months I couldn't bare the pain and went into the ER to have it drained. Since then, I have been draining pus out of the area they sliced in the abscess, and this has been going on for almost a year. I'm afraid to get it fixed because I don't want the draining to develop into another abscess, any ideas? Also, I have been on remicade for a few years now, and recently I have been feeling really sick. Just really weak, tired, upset stomach, just not feeling right. Don't know if its because my Crohns is picking up or what. Any one else experiencing these things?

Thanks for any advice.

Hey, there and a very big, warm welcome to the forum. No need to apologise for the detail. We're quite used to it, especially in this subforum. I'm just wondering when was the last time you saw your GI as you seem to have a couple of concerning issues. How often are your infusions?

I go in every 8 weeks. Not sure if they need to up the dosage or if I need to go in more regularly. Seems like each time I get closer to my infusions my symptoms worsen until I get remicade again then it dies down a bit. But lately my body has just felt wrong. Not sure how to explain it. Last time I was at the Dr.'s was probably over a year ago. I should probably go in again but it seems like a good Dr. is hard to find these days.

Welcome Natedawg from Salt Lake City.

It sounds like the Remicade needs to be be a bit more often. Maybe the medicine is wearing off before it should. I am on Humira and I know if that happens with Humira they will go from every 2 weeks to weekly injections.
