Food journals??

Hey guys, i was thinking about making a food journal but i have no clue where to start. I am still currently in a flare up so should i wait till im out of the flare up to make the food journal or is sooner better? How do you start a food journal off? Do you guys have a food journal? Lol sorry bout all my questions im just curious haha
 
Hi Bradraz

I would suggest getting a planner (dayrunner type thing) that has a calendar with lots of room to write for each day. Record everything you eat and when you ate it. Also write down when you have bowel movements and what they were like. I know some people on here have mentioned that they rate their's on a scale of 1 to 5, solid to watery? I always write down my exercise for the day and how i felt as well. You can include as little or as much detail as you want, whatever works for you. I always put a post-it on the days when I feel particularly bad so I can look back and see if there was a pattern. It's how I determined that I can't drink OJ or eat too much meat.

It does require a bit of a commitment, but it's really worth it. Good luck with it!
