:ybiggrin:Do you find yourself getting up in the middle of the night to check your forum to see whose on or to say hi to someone you know, or can't go a day without reading it; you may have a problem. This is the place you need to be. We share our stories of addiction and don't have to worry about anyone judging us, because we all have the same problems. Share your story with us and help others going through the same thing:ylol2:It's fun getting to know others who share your addiction.I'm addicted to l
Last One Wins! Can't even make it more than a few hours without using it to share my thoughts with a friend or if I'm having a bad day.:rosette1:

There is really no point in anyone looking at 'Last one wins'.............because I am about to win it.

I will not admit to being addicted to this forum.I will just say this. When it's quiet I get a tad frantic wondering where the heck you all are,and if you're sick or worse, enjoying yourselves without clearing it with me first. So as you see,not addicted at all.Just don't forget to tell me why you're not on line and everything will be cool.

To me that spells addiction scottsma LOL. I can't stand going a few hours unless I'm out of the house. I only have one job right now and my ladies group Thurs. So you're all stuck with me.:voodoo:

I about had a fit yesyerday because my computer wouldn't bring up the forum. Diagnosing problem is all I could get. Finally got on last night. About had to go to rehab!!!:ysmile:

Speechless yet again - when Cheryl was AWOL for a week you had forgotten about her within two days - it was left to me to keep the pot boiling.

Robert, I do believe you are jealous of Carol's and I's friendship....and I refuse to believe she forgot about me...lol!

I wake up during the night to see if there are any other new members other than me rooting for the Cleveland Browns - none to date :(

OH PLEASE,let that be the end of it.Robert you really DON'T need to know about AMERICAN football as well. It's bad enough that you (we) are all forum addicts without the added stress of sport addiction. You may all need to get help.

If you think I'm coming on here to listen to you all waffling on about whose teams the best, then think again !!!! You either want me here or you don't.I won't be huffed. There's plenty other threads to get addicted to.

Quiet today.Just doing lunch, not doing it the posh way like people with grand ideas, just doing a fish pie.Got a pile of dishes already.Hope it's worth it.

Carol,
What kind of fish do you use and what else goes into it? Never had a fish pie. We have pot pies with either beef or chicken in gravy with carrots and peas and potatoes.

Cod +smoked cod or haddock, and prawns in a creamy sauce topped with mashed potato and griled (BROILED)?? until brown.Just improvise with your favourite fish. You can add hard boiled eggs to the sauce if you like.I don't cook it very often as hubbys not fussy about it,but I've been fancying one for a while.............Oh NO,I'm not am I ??????????

HEE HEE HEE !!!

Thanx Carol, sounds delightful for the most part. I don't know about the hard boiled eggs in it though. That part doesn't thrill me. I love prawns and lobster and cod. It's hard to get good fresh fish where we live. I usually get it on vacation. But, I do fancy a good fried fish sandwich with tartar and garlic toasted bun and dill pickles and mozzarella cheese. How does that sound???
MMM!!!:ytongue:

WHERE THE HECK IS ROBERT TODAY??????????????????????????????????Are you out on the town tonight Robert?????? OR:hug:snuggling with your sweetie???

Pardon my ignorance, but what are prawns? I don't eat much fish. Can't stand the smell of most of it. Some cause my sinus' to swell so bad that my face also starts to swell and you can't see my eyes.

I'm not one to admit to addiction... So with that being said, Ditto scottsma!

I don't do the eggs bit.I like the sound of your sandwich but without the dill pickles. We live 5mins walk from the harbour so we get our fish stuff very fresh. It's getting expensive though, like everything else I suppose

small shellfish, you might call them shrimp ??

I spent about 8 solid hours yesterday and I am less than halfway trough - it is only a small room - just to give you an idea I have found 4 house keys that she 'lost' and I have had to replace

If you're VERY lucky you might get a lovely bottle of Sangria.Won't that be nice?

um, i am a little behind (pardon the pun) The Browns, well we are terrible, good thing I didn't grow up in Cleveland. I would suggest rooting for the Chiefs, certainly not the Steelers.

I've done all I had to do today,so just sitting here with the tv on(not usual during the day,but it is a rainy holiday) and might read my book in a while.Have got the heating on,first time in 6mnths.So I wish all my readers a warm, comfortable and pain free afternoon, same as me :ghug:

Definately Autumn when the trees are all changed color and you're walking and that smell is in the air. It's cool, but not cold. Just love it!!!!

I love the newness of spring and the settling down of autumn, but winter is fave.Crisp frosty days and cosy evenings with candles or the lamp on,and cosy throws. Hate the discomfort of summer. And the crowds of people wherever you go.And the noise and litter and smells and hot sticky nights. Oh,sorry Robert, was it just one seaon you were after? ok.winter is my fave. except the lead up to xmas.MADNESS especially when we don't celebrate it.

Christmas is nice for that one day, watching the children enjoy their new gifts. Celebrating the birth of Jesus. After that and before, it is work and craziness for us women. You men get to kick back in your easy chairs drinking bourbin and smoking cigars, while we cook, clean, bake and do a million dishes. Get it now???:voodoo::rof:

Well I am speechless - it is us men who have all the worry and work at Christmas - I have always had to be hospitable and offer drinks & cigars, keeping the mood jolly - telling jokes and ghost stories - nah you have it easy.

How can you not celebrate Christmas - I mean when do you have Turkish Delight and dates?

I have Medjool Dates all year and Turkish Delight when I fancy it.We don't have xmas because the family live in Aus.We always go for a hike in the morning then do what everyone does.Slob out and watch rubbish tv.Don't buy prezzies and only send a FEW cards.I don't panic about food and drink shopping either, just buy the usual. You know there are millions of people who don't celebrate or even know it's xmas.So it just gets over like any other day.And it's CHEAP.

I KNOW,BUT !!!!!!I'm married to Victor Meldrew and our family is in AUS.as i keep saying.I'd feel a bit daft sitting there with me paper hat on and playing charades on me todd.Sad but true.So I just ignore it,then I don't get upset. And another thing...........I might resign from this thread as I've realised I'm not an adict after all.I haven't got time for running around after Mr.Meldrew.Hope you had a good workout.I was "best achiever at my aerobics class in 2002,and it's been downhill ever since.

So who's looking forward to the change in seasons?

Doc just Rx nitroglycern cream today. Maybe I can enjoy the fall hikes this year after all. I sure hope the cream works on my hands and feet and gets me some circulation back. My neurologist has measured my feet temp in the 60 degree range before.

I can't wait to take fall hikes. How about you?

Walking in all weathers is a life choice for me.Always had dogs and dogs need to be walked so it's as normal as washing the pots.Once or twice a week we drive out to the countryside and enjoy the scenary too.I used to walk 6mls a day until this colitis and arthritis set in,but can usually manage three,no probs. Also I don't drive so walk to and from the shops mostly.Got to say that by late afternoon I'm exhausted. We live at the coast so lots of walks on the doorstep.:ghug:

Just pulled a hamstring cleaning today, so no walking yet this week. I have a lake prctically across the street and behind the neighbors Yard. Lots of ducks geese and 4 swans. Quite a nice track too. Hopefully I will be able to enjoy it soon.

Really?

Good day today - secured some new work (it will involve smoking more cigars though)

What a pity for you! Someday when I earn my wings, I'm having a job like that. I used to love to smoke cigs. But quit at 46 and good thing coz I had cancer and didn't know it.

Hey Teresa I hope that has all been dealt with now - I guess you won't want any of my cigars then!

Quiet night, crickts chirpping away outside. Kids upstairs doing whatever quietly. Hubby playing on the x-box w/no sound. (Deaf people can do that you know). It's very peaceful around here tonight. Not even the cats bothering me. Ahhhhhhh.... Relaxing........

Sounds positively wonderful! I didn't remember your husband was deaf.
I can't imagine living with so much quiet in a husband, Mine doesn't talk alot, but when he does he has a loud voice and doesn't even know it.
Bless you Glori!

Hello my friends and Robert. Not much to say that I haven't already said on "wins".Have you noticed that the more relaxed we are with each other the more we give away about our lives.Except Robert. He gives nothing away.I think he's a fugitive and that avatars a mugshot.

I know !!!!! Getting to sound like our parents eh ?But I bet you can "get down with the kids" went you want to

Good morning Carol. I was thinking of you as I was putting the roast in the crockpot earlier. I am making Italian Roast beef today that you have sandwiches out of later. It is really good and a real crowd pleaser if you want the recipe. It is one of our favorites. Robert even you could make it, it's so easy and great for parties!:)
