Frequent urination with flares

Do any of you have frequent urination with your flares? I'm finding myself in the bathroom quite often to urinate and even have had to do runs at work for it. Just trying to figure out what is related to IBD and what isn't.

I know I go to the bathroom a lot during a flare, but I also am drinking tons of water and other fluids to hydrate my overtaxed body at the same time which I think is the cause. Because I notice that my frequent trips slow down when I'm not drinking much.

Does this go on every time you flare?

I frequently ultimate and have a weak bladder but its been like that pre-crohns. I don't see how they could be related to be honest aside from replenishing fluids.

I do urinate a bit more when I flare. But, don't remember having to run for the bathroom much for it. Usually the running would be for bm's.

I'm undiagnosed but I too pee more when I'm bothered.

Hi y'all. My GP told me frequent urination or UTIs can be caused if you have inflammation near the bladder which puts pressure on it. The other cause would be a bladder fistula, but I hope CSG, that that's not the case.

I hope not too. I'm beginning to think that this appointment can't come quick enough. Especially since my stomach is becoming more and more sensitive and am beginning to get some pain too.

I get frequent urine infections when I flare and now recognise this a s a sign that its coming on. Pee all the time as I think generally my insides are all screwed up and its just more annoying when i flare.
I usually take Nitrofuranton I think its called. This clears the infection within a few days . This only happens at the start when things are starting to go wrong.

I find that I go to the bathroom alot more when i flare as well but I am not sure if it because of the flare or that i am really thristy when i flare

I found that when I was flaring I was going to the toilet doing both wee's and poo's every half hour or so!

Rectal spasms during a flare sent me running to the toilet feeling like I needed to pee even if my bladder was empty. Even now that I am disease-free in that area, I will still get rectal spasms from time to time and it always feels like I need to urinate.

I'm undiagnosed but flaring of some kind.... I find that on the days I'm very bloated I don't pee as much, but most days I will suddenly feel like I REALLY have to go! And have to get up during the night to pee badly too. I do tend to drink a lot of water and feel more thirsty as well. The sudden urges are not my norm when not flaring.

Mccindy, I get like that sometimes too.. Sometimes I will eat something really little and look like I am 9 months pregnant, and then once i go than all hell breaks loose both ways with the wee and the poo.. Not sure what causing that though

It's really frustrating, isn't it? To feel so bloated and not be able to do anything about it.... then have to pee every 1/2 hour!
