I woke up in the middle of the night, and my stomach was burning and churning like crazy! I went to the bathroom of course as usual, but I still felt bad. I lied there awake rubbing my tummy for 2 hours before it finally felt like I wasn't going to vomit and was able to go back to sleep. This morning it's constantly rumbling and almost nauseous feeling...not quite but almost. I don't know what I can do or have to help it feel better or quiet it down. So far all I've had is water and a banana...they haven't made it worse, but haven't helped either. I'm new to Crohn's (just diagnosed in May) so these weird rumblings and times when things "burn" or just "don't feel right" are really new to me so far. HELP!!!:frown:

I take Balsalaside right now. I don't believe it's actually FOR Crohn's but it's my first medication that we are trying for now. No Prednisone now...was on it for 8 weeks & now I'm off. I also take a Probiotic, and at night time I take Lipitor and my Melatonin...that's it. It's not really a pain, it's more like a gurgling/growling feeling...but it's constant...like bubbles, but it's been going on since like 2 am this morning, and almost makes me feel puky feeling.

Hi,

Sorry I misunderstood your first post. I assumed you were in pain. I could relate to that.
But, I am really not sure about the symptoms you are having now. I have never experienced them. The only times I have been vomitting etc is when I have been in a flare.

I hope you feel better soon.
Maybe it was something you ate??

It could have been...pretty much everything is messing with me right now because it's so new. I'm still learning what I can and cannot have. I definitely didn't vomit but just keep feeling like I could. I think I've basically been in a flare since January because I've never really felt good even on the meds, and when I asked others on here what "remission" even was we all came to conclusion that I probably haven't even been close to it yet and that's why I don't even know.

I have no real advice, but my 11 year old daughter (ulcerative colitis) gets major noisy, grumbly tummy sometimes. It sounds like she is hungry, but she's not. She says it sometimes feels nervous or sick as well. We usually try a rice heating bag when she is having any kind of problems, sometimes they work and sometimes they dont. My daughter hasn't been in remission for about 16 mos now. Stress (grandma passed away) put her into a flare and we can't seem to get her out. I hope you get some relief soon.

I wish I could offer you some advice (I've been searching for answers myself) but know that you are not alone. I routinely experience what you are going through in exact detail.

Hope your tummy decides to be nice to you, even if only for a little bit, very soon!

I get the same thing! Sometimes if it doesn't go away after half an hour or so, I'll just take some PM meds to help me sleep through it. I get the burning and churning all hours of the day, too. Sitting in class, I'll feel like my intestines are gonna burst open. I also get the pain around to my back that Natalie talked about, especially when my tummy's upset and I'm starting my cycle. No fun.

I use to get this.churning noises, nausea, sometimes vomit. It was happening because of my stricturing and unfortunately only went away after my surgery. It was due to being so obstructed pressure would build up in my small intestine until stuff would shot through the small passage that was left, causing the gurgling noise. If the pressure was to much it would come back the other way.

It could be something else for you, but that is what it was for me.I think you need to have your doctor check it out.

Hi I went to a doctor once when I was feeling sick and my stomach was grumbling a lot and I thought it was a bug but he said it was a 'busy' crohn's. Thought it was a funny way of putting it! But he was right as inflammation markers in bloods were up. have you had BMs as you normally do? Maybe you should go to your g.p and have your inflammation levels checked in your blood?
