Hi guys!

I am currently taking mercaptopurine (6-Mp), and have been for the past eight years to treat Crohn's disease. However, the efficacy of this medicine seems like it is starting to wane. Also, I have had a lot of trouble with the past two doctors I've had and don't have the time to keep switching. I'm really more of the mindset that I want to be off medication entirely.

Have you found a particular diet/exercise routine/etc. to be effective in controlling your disease? What sort of information or professionals could I speak to about changing my treatment type?

Thanks much!

hi bluecarrot. i understand completely. ive been through some drs and medications. all seem to fail. im allergic to most meds. ive done the vegetarian vegan diet. juicing organic foods. i started reading ingredients and looking them up to see how harmful they are. which opened my mind. i heard paleo and scd diet have worked well for people. exercise i walk sometimes run, kung fu,i made my own exercise routine for stretching. i think all of it is mindset. food and emotion diary are helpful. maybe look for a naturopathic dr. i use herbs including mm.which i think saved me from surgery. meditation for stress. knowlege is power. will it cure it no which i thaught i was but have had bad flares. but i feel the best when i eat right and exercise\body. take care of mental aka stress anxiety\mind. spirit\meditation or whatever beliefs you have. sense of well being. they all seem to coincide. if they are all not well symptoms will show. i hope this helps some.look up natural healing for crohns. good luck and wish you well!
