I read it yesterday, but didn't have a chance to respond. Sounds like a good idea. There ought to be plenty of GIs in Toronto - no sense in staying with one that treats you that way. Hope the vent helped you a bit.

i didn't get to read your original post Cheeky, but if you've lost faith in your GI for whatever reason, then yes i would say look around for another. it's such an important relationship for someone who is suffering/flaring - we need to know we can rely on the best care, advice and attention from our specialists when we need them. good luck! i hope you find someone who you're happy with very soon.

well i was looking for another GI, i had my doctor's office send my info to St. Michael's Hospital since i heard they have the best care for crohn's there but it's also super busy...

then yesterday, i was talking to my grandma and she recommended a GI since she had a great experience with him and her friend who's a nurse had recommended him to my grandma saying he was really nice....

so i will checkin with my doctor about the GI my grandma recommended...

should i just tell my doctor i'd like a second opinion?

what do i tell my current GI?

i have to see him on april 30th... i was planning to ask the receptionist (who is extremely nice) for copies of all my bloodwork and other test results.

thanks everyone, it did help to vent... and i know you all can relate and understand why it's so important to be comfortable/happy with your GI.
i'll keep you all posted.
