I have had a terrible week with my crohns, with the big D throughout the day, nausea and stomach upset, light headedness and dizziness, and complete fatigue. I also have a painful lump on the inside of one of my bum cheeks and do not know what it is. I have been handling all that and then throughtout the night I started to get itchy hive like bumps all over my body. They are on my scalp, behind my ears, up my arms, all down my sides of my torso, on my behind, and now they are moving down my legs. As I said, they are very itchy and seem worse at night, but I may be imagining that. Also, my eyelids and above my eyes are swelled. I look terrrible. Has anyone had anything like this happen? I was on predisone, but have been off of it for a week now and I am on 4000mg of Pentasa a day. I assume it is crohns related, because I have felt so terrible lately, but I could use some insight.

I have felt like that before. You should go and see your doctor. I had a painful lump on the left side of my butt and it was an abscess and a fistula forming. Sometimes antibiotics can help before it gets too bad. I have also had a rash all over my body that was mainly concentrated on my torso (especially my belly) and my upper legs. It was unbelievably itchy and burning fealing and scratching it seemed to make it worse. I was told the rash was from a crohn's flare up. I don't mean to make you worry to much but you should definitely go to the doc. If that bump is an abscess maybe he can help you before a fistula forms.

Thanks for the info. I am actually heading to my doctor in a half hour. They think that I am flaring, as well.

Just returned from the doctor and the long line at the blood lab. Yes, I am flaring extremely bad, so back on the prednisone, antibiotics and they have changed my drug to Imuran. I am inflammed everywhere and he believes the lump on my bum cheek could have turned into an abscess. I am glad I did not wait any longer to go see my doctor and I thank this forum for making me realize it is ok to admit when you are not well. Thanks everyone!
