Hi All
Just seeking some advice.
I've been in pretty good health all my life until 3 years ago when I came down with diarrhea and weightloss which lasted the good part of 3 weeks. After going to see my GP and having a blood test I was sent for a Flexible Sigmoidoscopy and was diagnosed with Crohn's.
I was put on a course of steroids for around 8 weeks which were gradually decreased. These worked wonders and within the week after taking them I was well again. Since then I have been on a regular daily course of Azathioprine which I have taken daily for the last 3 years.
Just recently I have begun to wonder if I do actually have Crohns. Apart from those 3 weeks, 3 years ago I have felt completely well and haven't had any bouts of D, constipation or anything I read about on these forums or anything I hear about from fellow sufferers. I eat/drink what I want and nothing causes 'flare-ups' or anything.
Is it possible that I could have been mis-diagnosed? Is there any short-term illnesses which mimic Crohns?
